EXPERT WITNESS

Not every clinician makes a good expert witness in court. Their skills in assessment and diagnosis may be quite good, but conveying these findings clearly to a jury can prove challenging. The goal of the testimony is to explain psychological concepts to a layperson jury. If the jury does not understand the information provided, then the expert has failed at their job. Also an expert witness must be objective with their findings and present the data honestly.

Dr. Brodie has testified in hundreds of trials and hearings. She has testified in juvenile, family law, state and federal courts. She has testified for the prosecution and the defense as well as plaintiff and defendant. It is Dr. Brodie’s firm belief that testimony should be truthful, objective and straightforward. Hiring Dr. Brodie does not mean you will always get the results you want. Hiring Dr. Brodie means you will get an objective analysis of her findings.
